My whole life I have always been the ‘sporty’ type. Growing up in a house with 3 brothers and being the only girl, sports helped me find the confidence to hang with the boys and hold my own. Plus, I love the competitive aspect of sports. I played soccer religiously all through high school and then some intramurals in college. Swimming was also something I loved to do as a young kid up until high school.  I then picked up running as a ‘hobby’ in college. At first it was a great stress reliever, but slowly it became more of a chore, something I HAD to do...not because I wanted to, but because I was obsessing over wanting to be ‘skinny’ and stressing if I did not run more than 4 miles a day.



I wasn’t enjoying fitness anymore and I needed a change. After looking into this CrossFit stuff, I decided to give it a try. I walked into CrossFit Rampage in October 2012, met the cute owner (my current boyfriend), was put through an introduction workout and FELL IN LOVE. It was one of the toughest workouts I have ever done. I was amazed. I loved the challenge of the movements and I wanted to learn everything right then and there. I signed up for a membership that same day.


Fast forward 4 years later, I’m faster, stronger and happy with my life than ever before! I have transformed both physically and mentally. I feel more at peace with my body and don’t stress about the way I look. I now focus on how much weight I can lift or how I can make my biceps bigger! CrossFit has become not just a hobby, it’s a way of life. It’s about getting my body the strongest and healthiest it can be. And it’s given me back that competitive drive I had playing sports. I love to train and see how I can push my body to its limits. 

Currently, I live with my boyfriend, Korey, and 2 adorable pups, Roman and Spealler. I would not be where I am today without them. Korey introduced me to CrossFit and pushes me every day to be better. I work for Arcus Restoration full time, so I try my best to make the most out of my training and not take the limited time I have for granted. I’ve learned with this sport that there is SO much stuff to work on and it doesn’t happen overnight. Gotta stay positive and keep smiling!

CrossFit has shown me that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. It has empowered so many women, including myself that strong is beautiful. I believe that if you have a positive attitude, you can overcome any obstacles or difficulties you are experiencing in your life. In the future, I hope to become a coach at CrossFit Rampage so I can teach people about CrossFit and how it can benefit their lives.
