My name is Hannah Moeller, I'm 19 years old and live in Spring Hill, TN and am a member of CrossFit Combustion, founded by two amazing coaches, Matt Boyd and Greg Boyd (no relation). I've been on a long journey and was asked to share it with you. I hope that every one of you that reads this can get something out of it.

It started with words like “I can't”, “that's impossible”, and “there's no way”. Being bullied in school and by kids around the neighborhood is something I can relate to as well being an over weight athlete. I was eating processed junk foods that filled my day, making me look and feel unhealthy. That was my life.

I finally realized I could not live life like that anymore and started turning my life around to becoming a healthier, happier, stronger girl in the constantly varied world of CrossFit. I have been CrossFitting a little over a year and if you would have asked me two or three years ago to go workout I would just look at you and laugh. If you had told me that I would be competing in CrossFit competitions, (which I decided to do after I started seeing how much I was progressing in my fitness), I would never have believed you but as I started working out and seeing the gains that I was making, it made me want to do and be better. I began to step back and look at my movements to see how I could better conquer them. Training for my first competition made me work even harder and I haven't looked back.

There are a few people that I have been lucky to be surrounded by, that have inspired me to become the athlete I am today. My RX coach, Chris Jeffers has made a big impact on me as an athlete . He pushes me every class just a little more each time. Is always looking for ways to make me a better athlete, standing nearby during competitions telling me,“Don't stop.”,which has resulted in a 7th out of 38th place ranking in my first competition, 1st place in my first RX partner competition, many PR’s and how to become the stronger competitor that I'm on the road to becoming. I wouldn't be able to do what I do without my family, coaches and box mates standing right behind me.

I'm excited to see what this year will bring and have many goals for 2015. I want to master muscle ups, handstand walks, butterfly pulls ups, get my level 1 certification, work on continuing to eat clean, get fitter, more toned, and to get new people into the gym so they can start this journey not only with me but with the rest of my CrossFit family.

For those that want to get in shape or back into shape, stop hesitating and JUST DO IT. “In life, you are either a passenger or a pilot. Its your choice.". I will not say it's not going to be hard because it will be, its never going to be easy but it will get easier. You're going to have those days that you will be mid workout asking yourself, “What did I get myself into?” or “Why am I doing this?”. Well, I'll answer that for you ahead of time…

ou got yourself into a box, not just a box, a CrossFit box where you will be encouraged by more people than you'll ever believe, you'll be surrounded by those that care about your results, those that will guide you in the right direction to meet training goals and nutrition goals, those that will stand by your side all night if they need to until you finish your WOD (workout of the day) and they will love every second of it. You're doing it for yourself, health, and future. At this point, no body else but you. This is a life changing sport and a life changing experience.

“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7

That's all it takes, you got this.
